Arachnid Preparing for 19th World Dart Tour!
Aug 1, 2003

Arachnid is busy preparing for their 19th anniversary World $250,000 Tour which begins September in Saginaw, Michigan. All Qualifying Regionals will sport an $8,000 payout and qualify the top three winners in each event for the BullShooter Finals. Arachnid has already set up seven Qualifying Regionals this season, with at least five more in the works. Other Qualifying Regionals set up are located in Hudson, OH; Houston, TX; Niagara Falls, NY; Indianapolis, IN; Omaha, NE; and Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to the BullShooter Qualifiers, league play, state tournaments, and many foreign tournaments will all build up to the BullShooter World Championship Finals, in Rosemont (Chicago), IL, Memorial Day weekend, May 27-31, 2004.

BullShooter Qualifying Regionals...
Friday evenings all BullShooter Regionals start with a Top Gun Draw Doubles Cricket warmup event with 100% payback, at 7 p.m. The first place team receives Top Gun Challenge Coupons good for free entry in the annual BullShooter Top Gun Playoffs. The three Playoffs, WomenÕs Cricket Singles, MenÕs Cricket Singles and Mixed Triples, are held Friday preempting the BullShooter Finals main events with a $15,000 payoff to the top winners!

Saturday morning the main events start with doubles events in WomenÕs, MenÕs and Pro categories. Mixed Triples, Cricket Doubles, Pro/Am Cricket and WomenÕs Singles events are played in the afternoon. The tournament resumes Sunday morning with Mixed Cricket and concludes in the afternoon with MenÕs Cricket Singles, Pro Cricket Singles and WomenÕs Doubles Combo.

This year Pro players can play in as many BullShooter Qualifying Regionals as they want, but only in Pro events. If a Pro player has previously qualified for the Finals, his certificate will be handed down to the next place winner.

In all the main events, players that win first, second, or third place qualify for the BullShooter $100,000 Finals in May, 2004. In addition to their prize money, they are given a Qualifying Card for entry to the Finals. If a player doesnÕt win a ÒQualifying CardÓ at a BullShooter Regional, Operators can buy a BullShooter Kit to qualify their players. Each Kit contains 12 Qualifying Cards, location posters, an information packet of rules and guidelines for setting up and running successful league programs, and some promotional giveaways for the Operator to hand out. Operators give the certificates to their top league players or give them to the winners at their tournaments.

$100,000 BullShooter Finals...
Starting their 19th year, Arachnid is anxious to be on the road promoting darts and starting the new BullShooter Tour that climaxes with the $100,000 BullShooter Finals in May, 2004. The Finals is a tournament many players from all over the world look forward to. From the beginner to the Pro player, no matter what their skill level, there are events for every ability. Veteran BullShooter players that spend their vacations year after year at the BullShooter Finals and players that come for a new experience enjoy the competition. Most players come not only for the competition, but for the fellowship of dart players from all over the world. There are two Arachnid sponsored dances and many parties throughout the weekend. Where else can you go to one location and meet friendly people from 12 foreign countries with one thing in common--the love and camaraderie of darts! The Finals will be held at the stately Hyatt Regency OÕHare over Memorial Day weekend, May 27-31, 2004.

The BullShooter Finals is five full days of competition and fun starting on Thursday, May 27 with a 4-person ÒMonsters Of The MidwayÓ team event for early arrivals. 100% of the entry fee is returned in payout. Friday the $15,000 Top Gun Challenge events take place starting with MenÕs and WomenÕs Cricket Singles followed by a Triples Shootout. The day will end with a fun Pajama Shootout at 7 p.m. with womenÕs doubles teams competing in their pajamas and slippers. Other fun events will also be available that evening like a SeniorÕs Shootout, Hot Shots Only, and a Blind Draw Mixed Doubles. At the end of the weekend, Arachnid also gives a Galaxy II game away in a ÒHot ButtonÓ drawing. Every player that buys a Hot Button is entered into the drawing. The Hot Button allows players to personalize their matches and can be used to store credits eliminating the need to run to the change machine and carry quarters.

Saturday the main events will start and continue through Monday, May 31. Exciting matches always take place in the ÒBull PenÓ where the final matches are played in a roped off area with bleachers for the many spectators to watch their buddies shooting for the big money. There are two different levels of play in the menÕs and womenÕs events including pro and open in the menÕs, and A and B in the womenÕs. Top players compete against the best players in the world, and the novice player competes in open events against players with equal skill levels.

The All-Star Team Competition is always a high point of the weekend beginning with an international parade of teams waving their countryÕs flag and marching in the tournament room to their own national anthem. The crowd cheers for each country and the teams compete to see which country will win the 3 foot tall world trophy and bragging rights. The United States team won the trophy at BullShooter XVIII, after defeating Spain in the championship match for the second year in a row. Spain will be back again in May with their best players to try to claim the trophy. Other countries competing were Croatia, Holland, China, Germany, Norway, and Belgium.

The Hyatt Regency OÕHare will once again host the BullShooter Finals. The Hyatt is a beautiful facility with many restaurants and a beautiful pool and sauna to relax after matches. The BullShooter XIX Finals will be a great way to end this yearÕs dart season!
