Darts Ontario Report

"WELCOME DARTERS"

Darts Ontario is pleased to introduce this first issue of the Ontario Report. Our goal is to provide awarenness and up-to-date information concerning all aspects of our programs, tournament and all pertinent information concerning the darting community. Darts Ontario provides programs for all levels of darters; from the grass roots and upwards - the sky is the limit with Darts Ontario!

PROVINCIAL AFFILIATE PROGRAM

The affiliate program offers something for everyone! this program consists of Premier, A, B and Ladies Divisions. Our goal is to have players of the same caliber playing off in these Provincial Championships. So if you are a "B" player, you will only play other "B" level players. We offer singles, doubles and 12 person team events for each division.

Where a league has more divisions they are placed accordingly. The HIGHLIGHT of this program is that you join Darts Ontario through your league. The league can join for $2 per member or become full affiliates for $10 per member. Affiliation allows your league to participate in all Affiliate Provincial Championships, voting status at Annual General Meeting, the use of the Darts Ontario logos and promotional materials. The $2 fee allows your members to play in the zone shoots for a reduced membership rate (a $5 savings) a membership for $13. The $10 members have their entire membership fee of $18 covered for the season.

There is plenty of good fun, prizes, competitive darts and the opportunity for someone in your league to be an Ontario Affiliate League Champion. Our first event is the Singles and Doubles Championships November 5, 1995. All participating leagues must have their membership in prior to this event. WHAT'S NEW?

Northern Ontario

1994-1995 saw Northern Ontario put application to the N.D.F.C. to be recognized as their own provincial body. With the support of D.O. , the Northern Group met all requirments and where granted provincial status commencing July 1, 1995. Congatulations and best wishes to northern Ontario.

Darts Ontario Open:

In D.O.'s quest to promot growth and awareness, it has made available it's nationally ranked tournament, each year, to any league or darting organization that would like to host this tourney, plus get some excellent tournament experience. Darts Ontario wishes Team Canada the best of "Darts" at the World Cup, Switzerland, October, 1995 and Team Canada at the World Masters, in England in December, 1995.
