- First round of playoffs at the Golden Harvest Big Valley Jamboree, playing a formidable opponent in Gene Woolridge, who had been on fire recently and was shooting ton-plus almost every throw......needed to stay in the match after dropping the first set in a best of 3 legs, best of 5 sets playoff and after winning the first leg of the second set, opened the second leg with a 180, against the start, went on to win the leg and then the next 4 legs in a row to win the match and advance (that round took the payout from $350 to $500)......big turning point in the match, at least in my mind !!!
