1998 YOUTH PROVINCIAL RESULTS
Held March 28th, the Youth Championships determined the team which
would represent Quebec
at the Nationals, May 15 - 19, 1998, to be held in
St-Hyacinthe, Quebec.
Here are the number of participants, by group: Junior Girls (3),
Junior Boys (14), Senior Girls (7),
Senior Boys (9). Only the top 2 in each category advance to the
Nationals.

Not less than 420 dart players (288 men & 132 women)
participated at the 21st annual
QDA Provincial Dart Championship, held for the 9th time over the last
11 years in
St-Hyacinthe, Quebec.Yves Chamberland (men) and Lise Filiatrault
(women) each
renewed their respective singles titles. Never has a player won the
championship more
than twice, but Yves & Lise have won respectively 4 & 3
times.The formation of
Team Quebec (8 best men & 8 best women in singles) gave, except
for he winners,
lots of surprises.Only two other players (Liz Joyce & Rosalie Mc
Millan) had ever
made the team before. They will represent Quebec at the Canadian
National
Championships to be held in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec June 15 - 19.

Points are attributed to each team in the doubles, and to each

each team and individual, for each round of knock-out play they win,

ncluding the finals.The Saguenay region won the 7th Regional Cup. But
we must
not forget outstanding performances by the South Shore and Quebec
East!.
