is not present by this time, the match must be rescheduled. If a captain must cancle the match, he/she must give
the opposing captain at least 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in the loss of one point when the

If a match doesn't happen on the scheduled day, the captain of the team that needs to
reschedule/cancel must be sure to inform the MCDA Recording Secretary by calling 389-9331 by 2:00am
that same evening. so that the reults distribution is not held up.

2) Rescheduled matches must be played within two weeks. Otherwise, permission to play the match on a
later specific date must be obained from teh MCDA President.

3) Visiting team chooses the board. If there is more than one visiting team, the choice of boards is decided by
"diddling for the middle" by the visting teams present at 7:15 pm. Teams arriving after 7:15 pm choose from the
remaining boards as they arrive.

4) The Captain of the winning match is responsible for calling in the scores and highlights of both teams to
389-9331 by 2:00 am that same evening. Failure to do so will result in a penalty of one point.

5) League standings will be determined by the total number of points accumulated by each team. Each game in
the match is worth one point to the team of the winner of the game. It is important that you play every game,
match and make up match.

Note: A team may start a match with 3 players. However, if a fourth player does not appear before his/her
first scheduled game commences, the match must proceed according to the formal rules of play.

When a team plays with only 3 players, that team must miss one turn per rotation in the team game. After
the third player's turn, the other team will have two sequential turns before play goes again to the other team.

The team playing short may only play one person in one of the doubles games in each half. That person may
only play once per rotation. The short team will have one throw for every two throws of the complete team.

The team playing short will also sacrifice one singles game per half. The captain of the team with only 3
players will determing which game to forefit and will not be required to inform the opposing captain of the
specific game to be forefitted until the line-ups are exchanged.

In the event that a fourth player arrives, he/she may enter the match in the current/subsequent game(s) he/she
has been listed for. Since the games are to be played in the order listed on the score sheet, games already
forefitted or played short can not be played.

If you have any questions, please contact the MCDA President.

Thanks for your cooperation!
