    Isabelle Thorn of Saguenay, the 1996 Junior Girls Champion, was runner up at the 1996 World Youth qualifier at the Youth Nationals held in May in Toronto.

    Congratulations to Yves, Eric and Lise for their top 4 placing at the Canadian Nationals. Yves & Eric will be part of the 1996 World Masters team, Lise is first alternate. Yves also qualified for the pacific Cup, to be held in Austalia in October.
     
    The Quebec men's team won their THIRD CONSECUTIVE Gold Medal in the Nodor Team challenge. Quebec won the Bronze medal for over all points during the weeks events, only 10 points behind first place Ontario!

    YOUTH PROVINCIAL RESULTS
     
    The Youth Provincials were held on March 30, 1996 in Ste-Foy, Quebec.  This
    years attendance boasted a record number of young players from all over the
    Province.  Congratulations to all the finalists!

      The first and second place winners in each division will be heading for Toronto to attend the Canadian National Youth competition May 17 & 18, 1996.     The Annual General Meeting of the Quebec Dart Associaiton was held Friday April 26, 1996 at the Auberge des Seigneurs in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec. This annual meeting is when all of the 14 Regional Directors and the 8 member Executive are able to get together to discuss business.   As Quebec will be hosting the 1998 Canadian National Competition and Canadian Open, it was agreed upon by the Board of Directors to freeze the present Executive for a period of three years.   Adult membership increased by 8% to 817 members. The Youth division saw an increase of 5% to 71, and Club memberships were up by 42% to a total of 68. Two new Regions were in attendance this year. Welcome to the Regions of Laudiere and Cote Nord/Cote Sud.   More than 400 members competed on 154 dart boards for a prestigious place on the 16 member Quebec Provincial Dart Team April 27 & 28 at the Provincial Championships. Friday nights Luck of the Draw Triples tournament saw record numbers in attendance once again this year.   Saturdays opening ceremonies were started off by the Parade of Regions, followed by several presentations. The 1996 Life Membership Award was presented to Mr. Dave Gore of Candiac for his 16 years of consecutive membership, promotion of the game of Darts and long history of successes.   Lac St-Jean was the recipient of the Award for the region with the largest number of new members (41).   The winners of the three $500.00 prizes in the Voluntary Subscription campaign were: Denis Gauthier (Quebec), Madeleine Gauthier (St-Ambroise) and Rachel Pitre (Lac Delage).     tournaments listed here, are for "Club" members only. It is the
    responsibility of the Club to supply the Q.D.A. office with a flyer of their
    tournament, which we will be happy to send out. HOWEVER, if you do not send
    a flyer, we will not call you to obtain it. Flyers will be sent out at
    least two (2) months prior to the tournament.

    Boys and girls, please contact the Quebec Dart Association office for the age limits in the Junior and Senior levels. One day competition, singles only, round robin format.

    Adult Provincials: April 26, 27, 28 1996, Auberge des Seigneurs, St-Hyacinthe

    *Mens Singles, Ladies Singles, Doubles. Open to all Quebec Residents. Membership Fees: $ 10.00 per year. You must play in your region to qualify to play at the Provincials.
